Treating "white poop" with Medication

If you plan on keeping Flowerhorn for any considerable amount of time you will likely run across "white poop". It is a term used to illustrate the look of a Flowerhorn shedding the lining of their intestines due to illness or parasite. By closely examining your fish it's possible to observe its condition. A fish who moves with confidence eats its food whole and is well colored is a sign of a healthy specimen. A fish that is discolored, wilted and shedding its intestinal lining is sick. At this point the fish needs to be treated with Meds. internally. We do this with a syringe by pushing it pass the gills into the stomach carefully( pass the gills so the medicine does not leak out of gills rendered useless )as to not harm the fish but firm as to do it properly and only keep the fish out of water as short of time as possible. In this video is a great example of a quick and successful treatment (we do not own this video or picture, they are being used for educational purposes. all rights reserved ) Make sure to repeat the treatment at the same time every day 7-10 days straight. If you skip a day it can weaken the medications ability, allowing the fish to worsen in condition. Another important aspect of treatment is daily water changes of up to 35% daily, the fish will be releasing toxins and parasites daily and will need to be removed for a successful treatment. through routine and diligence Flowerhorn illness can be beat but even with a proper treatment it's possibly to lose the fish as they are hybrids and do not carry the strongest immune systems... Good Luck
